Our Story

As a volunteer in the ICU, an aspiring surgeon had a dream to create a specialty environment where patients receive excellent care and in which the surgeons and team members are specialty trained in managing the conditions those patients had.

Throughout medical school, surgical residency, research fellowship at NIH, hand surgery fellowship, and peripheral nerve surgery fellowship, he noticed that there was an opportunity to design a neuromusculoskeletal facility that is invested in working together to solve complex problems.

The first facility, Nerve, Bone, and Joint Institute, was established in downtown Washington, DC to provide diagnosis and non-operative treatment in a multidisciplinary manner.

The second facility is DCHUX.  The goal of DCHUX is to provide specialty care in the fields of hand surgery, peripheral nerve surgery, neurosugrery, orthopedics, reconstructive surgery and pain management.
